China Visa

  • All Applicants (US and Non-US Citizens)
    Following documents are required for a visa to China:
    1. Visa Application Form (V. 2011A)
    2. Visa Application Form (V. 2011B) (If you are applying to work or study in China or if someone else travelling with you shares the same passport, or if you are applying for a visa in a country or territory other than the country of your nationality, your should also fill out Supplement Form V. 2011B in addition to V. 2011A)
    3. Original, signed United States passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity and 2 blank pages.
    4. Two passport size photos.
    5. Multiple Entry Letter. If multiple entries are desired, a detailed letter explaining precisely why the multiple entry visa is necessary. The decision to grant or deny the Multiple entry visa to China lays entirely with the China Embassy.
    6. Travel Itinery
    7. When applying for a child with Chinese parents, the applicant must provide a copy of the child's birth certificate, a copy of the parents' Chinese passports and proof of parents' status in the United States.
    8. For applicants born in China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong following are additional requirements:
      • Name written in Chinese characters
      • Copy of a previously issued Chinese visa or copy of the information page from your Chinese, Taiwanese, or Hong Kong passport.
  • Non US Citizens
    In addition to the above documents following is required for non-US citizens:
    1. Valid passport with green card / valid visa or I-94 stapled
    2. Bank Statement for the last three months
    3. Hotel Reservation
    4. Travel Insurance
